Health and Wellness Tips

My husband and I have been exploring ways to improve our general health. He is in his mid 50’s and I’m in my mid 40’s and we are starting to feel the aches and pains that come along with being over 40. He just had a total knee replacement and that was brutal! Trust me, total knee replacements are no fun, but the end result is so worth it. He is more mobile than I am now! We have always been physically active, despite our ailments, but sometimes needed a little extra help with our health and wellness journey. I’ve teamed up with Vive Health to showcase two great products that you may not be familiar with.

While preparing for his knee replacement, my husband wanted to work on his core strength. His doctor suggested a balance board, but my husband found this Balance Disc at Vive Health. It is such a cool balance disc because YOU control how much air you put in it, so you control how difficult it is to balance on it. It is anywhere from really easy to super hard. You can start out by just standing on it to eventually doing exercises on it. It really helps your balance and improves your core strength! It was a great help for my husband prior to his knee surgery!

This balance disc came with a little plastic pump that was super easy to use.

Around the time of my husband’s knee surgery, I’ve been experiencing incredible shoulder discomfort. I’ve been doing heat and ice along with decreased activity to try to heal whatever is aggravated. Vive Health was kind enough to send along a Rotator Cuff Brace for me to try. This wonderful brace provides stability for a weak rotator cuff and really helps to eliminate discomfort.

I was given the products free from Vive Health to test and review for you. My experiences and opinions are my own.
